About MJ Aquascapes

MJ Aquascapes was the brain child of Mark Wilson. Mark has been mad about fish and water all his life. His budding interest developed into a part-time hobby. He built his first pond when 11 on a pocket money/paper round budget. Mark has learnt the hard way about fish keeping. The information he gathered gave him an invaluable insight into how to work with nature (and not against it). After leaving school Mark wanted to carry on and turn his hobby into a career. The first MJ logo was drawn when Mark was at school.

The experience Mark gained before started his dream of working for him self was:

Mark was advised into taking up a course at Moulton College studying Horticulture. This led Mark into getting a special interest in water plants and how certain aquatic plants grow. After Moulton College Mark started working in the Aquatic retail trade selling coldwater fish and dry goods. Mark wanted to further his education and gain more information about water plants so he started at Sparsholt College to study Aquatics and Ornamental Fish Management.

MJ Aquascapes was start by Mark Wilson back in 2003.

To date MJ Aquascapes has:

Built and maintained ponds large and small. Has over 300 happy customers using there first product Multi Aqua. Large show gardens at international Koi Shows. Mail order water plants. Retail aquatic plant sales in a local nursery. Lake/Fishery management including weed removal (UK & Europe). All sizes of water features and patio ponds. Hand built rockery steams (26m Long) and waterfalls (2m high by 4m long). Water quality improvement and Bio Dredging with Bio Lake.

Some other examples of work: natural ponds, wildlife ponds, Koi ponds (raised or at ground level), ornamental round goldfish ponds/pools, hand selected Oxfordshire stone for waterfall building, garden ponds, fish ponds, brick pools or anything built to your own specification or a designers plan.
